If anyone knows how to plan and have a good time, its Brett. This guy always makes the most of his days off and vacation time, planning fun activities for the whole family. We've been wanting to plan a trip to San Antonio to meet up with Rebecca, who lives in Lubbock, for awhile and were finally able to do it. Brett was in his element planning the trip full of fun! We are lucky enough to get free tickets to Sea World and Six Flags since Brett is a member of the media, so it was fun filled and economical!
We met up with Rebecca, Wyatt, Rosie, and Ada (Rebecca's mother in law) at Panera for lunch on Thursday. We haven't seen Rebecca and her family for almost two years and it was a sweet reunion for all! The kids warmed up to each other immediately and had such a great time together.
Wyatt is 4 months older than Kayla and Rosie is 6 months older than Tyson. I really hope all these kiddos can grow up being best friends/cousins.
We headed to Sea World for the day. It was a little rainy in the morning, but cleared up for most of the time we were there.
The kids loved the shows with the dolphins, whales, dogs, cats, and seals!
They had some great kiddie rides too that Wyatt and Kayla had a lot of fun on.
The babies had a great view the whole time! :) We were lucky that all the kids were so well behaved. There weren't any major fits while we were there. Ada was such a help with the kids and was so sweet to encourage us to ride rides with the big kids while she stayed with the babies!
Ada bought Wyatt a bubble gun and the toddlers had a blast!
They had a huge area of Sesame Street themed rides and characters. Kayla LOVES these characters from a far and has lots of books with them. But when she gets close, panic ensues! She's not ready for Disneyland yet.
Merry go rounds make every kid happy!
The Orca show is always my favorite and all the kids seemed fascinated as well!
Their faces in these photos say it all!
We adults took turns riding the roller coasters and while Brett and Rebecca were on one, Ada and I decided to try to get a group photo of the kids. EPIC FAIL! Haha!
I'm one of those cheesy moms that realized I had fish themed clothes for my kids and dressed them in said clothes for our trip to SeaWorld. Don't they look adorable!?
We had a great day and the kids all seemed to have a great time! We had a mod podge dinner that night. Brett dropped us off at Steak 'n Shake to get fries and shakes while he ran to In 'n Out for burgers! The best of the best!
The next day, we woke up to quite a bit of rain, but that didn't stop us! We headed to Six Flags as soon as they opened to make the most of our day there!
The kids had some great fun jumping in puddles! Kayla learned lots of adventurous new tricks from Wyatt. Its good to have a cool boy to show you some fun!
I took Kayla on the spinning cups and she had a blast up until we got spinning so fast that she started to look a little pale! Luckily, nobody lost their breakfast.
After lunch, we hit up the water park. This little lady is such a doll! She latched on to me if her momma wasn't around and I loved it! She's a few pounds lighter than Tyson and just so petite and precious! She felt like a little doll!
That night, we went to a yummy Mexican place called Mama Margie's for dinner! We had some fun with the babies in the hotel room while everyone was getting ready.
The next morning, we loaded up and headed to the temple so Rebecca and I could do some temple work. Brett stayed outside with the kids and took some adorable photos of the kids while they explored the grounds. They found some exciting snails, apparently. :)
We then headed to the Japanese Tea Gardens, one of our favorite places in San Antonio. Its a beautiful garden with lots of cool places to wander around. We took some photo props I made for a church dance and took some fun photos.
We then headed down to the River Walk for lunch and had some yummy BBQ.
By this point, the kids were pretty worn out after long days without naps and so were the parents! Rebecca and Ada headed home while we did a bit of shopping and then headed back ourselves. We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home and Kayla really enjoyed her cone! I think about the few days she had and just smile knowing she's so blessed to have so much fun in her young life!
