We spent a few days in Pocatello, staying with Grandma Jean and visiting a lot of friends and family. Grandma Jean has a lot of fun stuff for the grandkids so Kayla and Brett were both in heaven! Brett loved showing Kayla all of his old toys and going down memory lane. Kayla spent literally hours on the swing set in Grandma Jean's backyard!
We went on a walk to the park on the upper ISU campus near where Grandma Jean lives. I had to take a photo with my alma mater sign! Go Bengals!
Family slide time!
Grandma Jean had this awesome car that Kayla rode in. We took her on some rides down hills and she had a blast! We had to take advantage of the hills in Idaho since there are no such thing in South Texas! Brett and I even rolled down the hills, which is quickly learned is not as easy as it was a kid. :)
We had a little FHE dessert with my old roommate Marissa and her cute family. Kayla had a blast running around with the boys. We sat on the grass enjoying ice cream and I loved not having to worry about fire ants, haha! The grass in Idaho is so soft and amazing!
We had a great visit with Great Grandpa Nip at his house. These kids of mine have so many wonderful grandparents that love them and set wonderful examples for them to follow.
One of my favorite people on earth, Lynsi, came over for a few hours. This girl and I have a special bond from experiences we've shared and I love her like a sister! It was wonderful catching up with her.
We had dinner with Dad, Sheryl, Haley and Job and then went back to their house to relax and hang out. It was great getting to know Sheryl a little bit better. I really am so happy for these two!
When your Aunt Haley works at an eye doctor, you get to try on lots of baby glasses. I feel confident that if times ever get hard, we could probably get Kayla hired on as an eye glass model for toddlers! Look at the smile! She gives that cheesy grin any time we ask her to take a photo! I love it! She looks pretty darn cute in the glasses too.
Tyson loved getting so many snuggles from Grandma Jean! She also made an adorable tutu for Kayla, but I can't get a good photo of her in it because she's always dancing or twirling when she has it on!
Enjoying the beautiful outdoors and bug free grass! We spent a lot of time outside and at the park, playing on the swings, etc. When we got back, one of Brett's co-workers mentioned he looked more tan. Go figure that we leave Texas, head to Idaho in April and enjoy the beautiful outdoors a whole lot more.
To be continued....
